The platform also handles the unique challenge of seasonal produce — pre-orders open 2 months before harvest, payment is collected upfront, and delivery is scheduled within a 10-day harvest window per farm.

Customers browse active pre-orders with estimated harvest dates per farm. Each farm manages its own harvest window — orders accepted only during the active season, delivery auto-scheduled at harvest.
Shiprocket Delivery Integration
Automatic courier booking via Shiprocket API when a farmer marks an order ready. Customer gets tracking ID, SMS updates, and live delivery status in the app. Cold-chain courier options available for premium orders.
Razorpay Pre-Order Payments
Full payment collected at pre-order to give farmers confidence to prepare. Automatic refund flow if an order is cancelled or a harvest fails. UPI, net banking, and card payments supported.
Verified Ratings & Reviews
Only customers who received an order can rate a farm. Ratings are verified and tied to specific harvest seasons — helping new customers pick the best farms based on real delivery feedback.
Farmer Dashboard
Farmers log in to a simple web panel to manage their listing, set harvest dates, view incoming orders, mark orders as packed, and track their earnings. Designed to be usable even with basic smartphone literacy.

The pre-order flow works in three stages: (1) Farmers list their produce with expected harvest dates and price — orders open 4–8 weeks before harvest. (2) Customers browse, select a farm, and pay in full at checkout. (3) When the farmer marks the harvest ready, the system auto-triggers Shiprocket booking, packs orders in batches by zone, and dispatches within 24 hours. The customer gets tracking SMS and live app updates.
How do you handle refunds if a harvest fails due to bad weather?
Razorpay's refund API is triggered automatically when an admin marks an order as cancelled due to crop failure. The full amount is refunded to the original payment method within 5-7 business days. Customers are notified via push notification and email. Optionally, the system can offer store credit for the next season as an alternative to a cash refund.
