Bullying, ragging, and drug use in Indian schools go largely unreported — not because students don't know, but because they fear retaliation if identified. HelpSchool removes that fear entirely: the app is designed so that no student identity is ever stored, transmitted, or traceable.
Built for government school deployment in India, the app works on low-end Android devices with minimal internet requirements. Reports go to school admin first, with escalation paths to district and state education departments.
The app assigns a random one-time token at first launch — no phone number, no student ID, no name. Reports are submitted under the token. Even if the server is compromised, no student can be identified from the data.
Students can report: Bullying (physical/verbal/online), Ragging, Drug/substance use, Sexual harassment, Depression or self-harm risk, and Unsafe physical situation. Each category routes to the appropriate admin with a specific response protocol.
School principals and counsellors receive anonymised case notifications with category, severity, and description. They update case status (received → investigating → resolved), add notes, and escalate to district if needed — all from a web dashboard.
District education officers see aggregated safety data per school — number of reports, case resolution rate, category breakdown. High-report schools are flagged for intervention. State-level view shows which districts need support.
Reports are saved locally on the device when there's no internet. They sync automatically when connectivity is available. Works on 2G. Optimised for low-end Android devices (2GB RAM, Android 8+) common in government school labs.
Available in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Tamil — covering the states where the platform has been deployed. School admins can configure which language is the default for their students, with auto-detection as fallback.

Yes — by design, not just by policy. The app does not collect or store any personally identifiable information. There is no login, no phone number, no student ID, and no device identifier tied to any report. Even the school admin and TechEin's servers cannot identify who filed a report. The only link is a random one-time token that has no mapping to any real identity.
Yes — HelpSchool is specifically architected for DPDP Act compliance with minors. Since no personal data of any student is collected, the consent and data principal provisions of the DPDP Act do not apply. The app stores only the report category, anonymised description text, timestamp, and school code. All data is stored in AWS Mumbai region (India data residency).
They cannot — and that's the design intent. The student reports the situation; the school investigates and acts on it. If the reporter wants a response, they check the status screen using their anonymous token to see case updates without revealing identity. This is the same model used by government whistleblower platforms globally.
Yes — TechEin is registered on the GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal and can supply this software to state education departments, district offices, and individual government schools. We can also participate in tenders for school safety digitisation projects. Contact TechEin for government procurement enquiries.
TechEin has built DPDP-compliant, zero-PII anonymous reporting platforms for educational institutions and government bodies. If you need a safety app for schools, colleges, or public institutions — we've done it before.
